Rich in History

Once a large ranch owned by Charlie Bonnevier, the area that now makes up East Gate was sold to the Tower family in 1944 being one of the last private plots along the soon to open Highway. An agreement was made with BC Parks to not clear cut the land or make in unpleasant looking for any of the many motorists that would soon travel past. This ranch was then subdivided into residential lots with the streets named in memory of the ranch that once stood.

All properties are serviced by private septic systems. The small size means a limited supply of listings in the community. Average sale price in 2021 for a home was *$483,000.
